The Irian Jaya Blue Tongue are a bit of the oddball in the blue tongue skink species. It does fall below the Indonesian Blue Tongues as a sub-species. However, not as much is known about them. 

Blue tongues as a whole are one of the easier reptile species to care for. They are omnivores consuming practically anything and everything put in front of them. They do need a balance of fresh veggies/greens and protein. 

Blue Tongue Skinks can make amazing pets, but please do all your research before choosing to purchase. They can easily live 20+ years if probably cared for, so it's a long commitment. If you decide to move forward, please give us a call!
